Alger House, a 1906 mansion-like carriage house was converted by a top 1960's artist into a creative space combining the characteristics of modern loft, artist's atelier, and private ballroom, as perfect an environment for 100 guests as it is for only 35.
The Great Room and Garden Room feature high beamed ceilings and chandeliers, fine paintings and sculptures, handsome furnishings and tropical plants, skylights and stained glass, Victorian fireplace and grand pianos, antique bathrooms and huge elevator.
This eclectic but harmonious environment, "better than the photos," some say, is magical, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Alger House draws on 35 years of catering fine cuisine and services in Manhattan for a truly unforgettable event. |
