I am pleased to present excerpts from recent letters to our catering executives, Monika Nemeth and Jeno Steiner, in which certain compliments are repeated. Sam Milliken, President.
Dear Monika, The party couldn't have gone better. We got so many compliments on the food and service. I thank you and the staff for all the attention to detail. From planning the menu to your patience with our zillion questions, working with you was a pleasure, and the actual event was all we hoped it would be, due much to your professional staff, great chef and the unique Alger House.
Dear Jeno, Rob and I wanted to thank you for giving us a magical reception. The food was fabulous, and the service was impeccable. Truly, everything went so smoothly, it was like clockwork. As one guest put it best, it was the kind of NYC wedding you dream of being invited to.
Dear Sam, Ted and I, both, cannot thank you enough for everything,- service, location, food, dj, photographer....and the list goes on! Our wedding reception was absolutely phenomenal! As corny as this may sound, our "wedding dreams" came true! All thanks to you and your incredible staff. Cherie was always eager to help when I phoned in with questions. Monika was a huge help during the reception and every single wait staff that catered our party was exquisite! Never have we been better served. (And I haven't even mentioned the meal....100% magnificent!) Thank you, Sam! You are a very honest man and it was a pleasure doing business with you! PS, the web site does not do justice to the awesome setting that is the penthouse!
Dear Monika, I would highly recommend the Manhattan Penthouse to anyone who wants to remember their wedding as an amazing one. You posses a truly rare blend of professionalism and warmth, which helped make the wedding go without a hitch, and also helped make it calm and wholly enjoyable for everyone.
Dear Jeno, Before this year that is so important to us draws to an end we want to thank you for your expert and gracious efforts in making our 50th anniversary celebration at Alger House such a great success. We loved every minute and we have received so many calls and notes praising the facility, the food, the service, and the overall beauty of the event. You and your staff made it all wonderful and we thank you most sincerely.

Monika, I think I'll always keep in mind the image of you behind the buffet, serving that delicious sea bass to my family, while our beautiful city shone outside the MP windows. Your graciousness, flexibility and warmth meant a great deal to me. Throughout the process you were helpful, cooperative, efficient, and gracious. But the night of the wedding you exceeded even your own high standards.
Jeno, Your kindness, enthusiasm, patience and flexibility has made it so much fun to plan with you amidst all the chaos of the time. You really made us feel as though our event was unique, and we appreciated that.

The Alger House was a great venue for our reunion. The atmosphere was intimate, beautiful and spacious. All who attended thought the venue made the party! The staff was professional, gracious, and competent.
Along with the amazing location and view, our 170 guests were treated to a perfectly managed afternoon - a lovely ceremony, a terrific cocktail reception, and a stellar luncheon. Since that day, many of our guests have commented on the outstanding quality and variety of the food. With no reservations, we would absolutely recommend your facility and catering services to anyone seeking a location for their wedding or other event.

Dear Monika, We can't thank you enough for the exceptional service you and the other staff members at the Manhattan Penthouse provided for Drew's and my wedding. Your efficiency, attention to detail, professionalism, and warmth are remarkable. Everything was exactly as we wanted it and even exceeded our expectations. Many of our guests specifically commented on how impressed they were with the space and the quality of the food (one person even commented that she is considering becoming vegetarian because it was so delicious!). We also appreciated how flexible and accommodating you were throughout the entire planning process. We would wholeheartedly recommend the Penthouse to anyone.
Dear Mr. Milliken, We fell in love with Alger House the moment we walked in. We just got that warm fuzzy feeling. Our first meeting with Jeno cemented the deal. There was no way we were going to have the wedding without him!! Throughout the process he was responsive and answered our questions promptly. A wedding can be a very stressful time and thank goodness Jeno was there for us. He calmed our nerves, told us it would all be OK, and his considerable experience and skill at hosting these things meant we had the wedding we dreamed of. The food was fabulous, and Jeno even went the extra mile and bought soy duck for our Vegan guests. There were delighted like everybody else. I cannot recommend Alger House and Jeno enough. We'll be returning for Mike and Suzanne's wedding in October, and we're looking forward to being guests at Alger.
Dear Sam, This is an unabashed fan letter to tell you how terrific Monika was yesterday in managing my father's birthday party. We had an incredible experience using Manhattan Penthouse and would/will recommend you to our friends and family. The staff was efficient and responsive. The food was terrific and we appreciated the attention to detail. But this letter is particularly to single out Monika. Today as I get the "day after" phone calls and everyone talks about how smoothly everything went, it is Monika that my sisters and I keep referring to. She was so professional and unflappable. You have a gem of a place and a gem of an employee.
