Our two locations have long provided some of Manhattan's most elegant wedding receptions. Our Greenwich Village location (Alger House) provides a warm, cozy great room, accomodating a wedding reception, bridal party, or rehearsal dinner for 25-200 guests. Our Union Square location (Manhattan Penthouse) boasts huge arched windows with spectacular views of Manhattan, for parties of 50-250.
As one of the most succesful and longest running caterers in Manhattan, Green Mansions Catering has taken part in all of the of exciting culinary trends of the past thirty-five years, constantly updating a special collection of menu choices. Chef Andriani, graduate of the French Culinary School in Nice, and his incredible team of sous chefs have perfected the culinary art of melding modern and classic styles, as well as trendy and original tastes, into generous and creative cullinary selections, paired with unbeatable staff services. The chef as well as the founder participate in culinary societies and regularly work with consulting chefs to offer expertise in their specialty. The word Green was recently introduced to the name Mansions Catering in honor of the 35th Anniversary of the catering company, Green signifying the constant cullinary rebirth and the passionate renewal of the our catering services. We've catered thousands of events, including to homes, offices, famous stores, museums, libraries, galleries, network studios, theaters, parks, yachts, auction houses, schools, lodges, clubhouses, mansions, and lofts.

Alger House :
Alger House, a 1906 mansion-like carriage house was converted by a top 1960's artist into a creative space combining the characteristics of modern loft, artist's atelier, and private ballroom, as perfect an environment for 100 guests as it is for only 35.
The Great Room and Garden Room feature high beamed ceilings and chandeliers, fine paintings and sculptures, handsome furnishings and tropical plants, skylights and stained glass, Victorian fireplace and grand pianos, antique bathrooms and huge elevator.
This eclectic but harmonious environment, "better than the photos," some say, is magical, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Alger House draws on 35 years of catering fine cuisine and services in Manhattan for a truly unforgettable event.

Manhattan Penthouse:
Just walking into the Reception Room at Manhattan Penthouse is a surprise for guests who are struck by the immediacy of dramatic views in this very Manhattan penthouse aerie. Huge arched windows frame vast panoramas from Wall Street to Times Square and Brooklyn to Jersey City of skyscrapers, towers, and roof terraces. Inside the signature windows, the space breathes open and airy with more window than wall. A large oak and stained glass bar, paneled window seats, grand piano, and illuminated Ficus trees surround the diagonal oak floors in the spacious Reception Room tailored in understated elegance. The beginning of a celebration has a special feeling as guests are treated to extraordinary cuisine and services in a magical, non-commercial setting.

Off-Premises Catering - Weddings and other events :
We have three kitchen commissaries, multiple chefs, experienced executives and captains, and good relationships with vendors. We can cater with a wide safety margin, and we have a vast knowledge of styles, decor, lighting, table settings, etc. In addition to our two spectacular New York City locations, we also cater off-premises for groups of 50 to 500 guests, and we are experienced in maximizing budgets and producing good values.
